happy birthday! to me

It was my birthday yesterday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!.. hahaha..it was a good birthday. first up was the coolest birthday card ever!. well actually not a card (my mates were too busy to get one, blessed them) , it was soooo much better= homemade video. a collection of pictures of me and my great friends since year 1 up to now.O and what about the theme music  it was JOGET LAmBAK by Adam AF. aduhai!!!  it was fantastic ( maybe i should put it up at youtube  ).
and today, my lovely flatmates threw me a bbq party! well actually it was more like indoor bbq party without the bbq set. i know, i know some of you might argue that it wasn't a bbq party. but they worked pretty hard marinating the chickens, cooking the hot dogs, plating the lovely potato salad from asda and preparing everything .... unfortunately it's really windy and quite cold outside.
plus i birthday presents - yup plural- are all from whittard. i just can't wait to use them. ( yup i am a sucker for home appliances. anyway i loved everything guys. thanks

Royal Victoria Park fun fair

yeay!!!! having some fun at the fun fair. we ( me and kakno) went to bath to spend our easter break at syik's. Kerol was there too. the outsiders (me, kakno, kerol ) together with the bath family (headed by daddy din and mommy syik, the ancient dinosaurs) had a really good time on the bumper car and that spinning thing. we used all 16 cars they have. the pakcik from the bumper car station were shouting like mad to get us driving in one direction, and also not to drive into head-on collision. But what is bumper car-ing without head-on collision, it's the best bit. nearly got whiplashed when Ada bumped into me. It has been a while since i had that much fun, in fact we were having too much fun that everybody else stopped and watched us with jealousy in their eyes ( or maybe they thought that we're nuts and pity us for loosing our sanity!)
the nausea inducer - a platform that went round and round and round, and tilted at 70 degree angle and did i mentioned that i went round and round? describing it making me feel dizzy.. why o why was i up for it? because it's only 1 pound that's it. I actually paid ( well not me.. syik did) to get dizzy. haih

Yeay it's that time of the year again!!! Christmas market along the high street. I absolutely love the christmas decorations with fancy lights and of course the food. We have got Belgian waffles, tonnes of flavoured nuts, fudges, sausages, and hot beverages. Anyway it felt good to see people mingling about with their huge hats and thick gloves and scarf, enjoying their cup-a tea and chatting away. I could have swore that they looked like a bunch of penguins in 'March of the Penguins'

beribu2 kuih tako!!!! malam sebelum majlis perkahwinan abang yul, semua ahli keluarga berkumpul bergotong royong. itu gambar my mother tengah dok buat kuih tako. me and my sister built the pelamin. the pelamin story akan menyusul nanti.. but today it's all about tako!!!! it takes about a week to fold the little sampan made from pandan leaf. my cousin's cousin = Ummi can make a sampan in 15 seconds whilst having her eyes closed. in the other hand, it took me about 5 whole minutes  to finish one with 3 pairs of eyes watching =my mom's, ummi's and me la.
they use chinese sengkuang in the kuih tako. question, sengkuang cine tuh ape?

These are pictures of my causin's nikah day. I took over a hundred pictures, and these three are my fav. may i remind you that i used a normal digital camera. I have yet to buy my own digital slr, adoi money!!! anyway i will keep my dream of getiing one and hopefully this year will bring me more rezeki insyaAllah.

Family outing to putrajaya!!!

hello2, this entry is all about my family trip to putrajaya which is actually a stone throw away, literally. we are staying in desa putra ( former name kampung sungai merab ulu... saya orang kampung) which is aboout 10 minits away from putrajaya.
we and the petronas aromatic staffs went on a putrajaya cruise boat. we had the whole boat all to ourselves (chartered for 2000 ringgit). putrajaya is decorated with magnificent architecture heavily influenced by the middle eastern culture ( i think). my favourite is Masjid Putra. anyway , enjoy the pictures

Kuching~ meowww

A long awaited family vacation was a blast! 10th september 2006 was a date where finally everybody was available. we had a wonderful time together. The food experience was absolutely mouth watering. Shopping was fantastic. Kuching is truly exciting! amazing caves, swinging orang utan and jaw snapping crocodiles. above all, the time with my family was the true tressure that insyaAllah will stay with us forever.

these are two younger siblings, azim 16 years old (the only boy in the family) and fairuz or awos 11 years old (the baby of the family). we just finished playing football ( goal keeping 'training' session.. konon nye lah hahahaha ). yup.. awos was wearing her school uniform.. manelah tak hancur baju tuh. While waiting for our parents to come home, i thought it would be nice to catch this moment of pure happiness and deep sense of family ties.
